Qured is an upcycling project. In this case, I saw this sofa table with potential in the rubbish and wanted to give it a second chance. I treated the furniture with a woodworm spray, filled the holes with filler and painted it. I took measurements and cut out the oval shape from MDF, created an adhesive PVC print with a ‘pala di fico d'india’ theme with Adobe Illustrator, which is very typical of Sicily, assembled everything and finished it off with a clear acrylic spray enamel for wood and epoxy resin to protect the print. I called it Paula Espinoza because "Pala" is how, in Sicily, we call the leaf of this cactus, and "Espinoza" (in Spanish) because it is "thorny"
